Subject: HPC Systems Group Newsletter
From: help@ahpcc.unm.edu

Hello everyone, we just wanted to give an update on the happenings of the
HPC systems group.

In this issue:
-Cochiti status
-SP2: No longer available after March 1st
-Blackbear available
-Help Desk Information

COCHITI Status:

As you may or may not have known, the fan in Cochiti has been out for
approximately two weeks. We have sent in for a replacement. When we have
it up and running we will send out an email to all users.

SP2: No longer available after March 1st:

As we stated in our last newsletter, dated Jan 28, the SP2 will be phased
out on March 1st. February 29th is the absolute last date for production
runs. Please be sure you check the end date of your scheduled runs.
February 24 will be the last day to schedule a 5 day run.

Again, please contact the Help Desk for assistance in moving your
work to Blackbear.

BLACKBEAR Available:

Just a reminder that Blackbear is available for use. Please visit the
webpage: http://www.ahpcc.unm.edu/blackbear/ for more information.

HELP Desk Information:

Your central point of contact for all computer-related issues is the HPC
Systems Group Help Desk. They can help you with:

-Desktop and HPC system hardware failures or upgrades
-Commercial software or freeware installation and use
-Code parallelization and debugging consultation

"Make you life easier! Ask for help!" This is the most efficient and
effective way to get assistance. When you submit a request to the Help
Desk, it will be assigned a tracking number for follow-up purposes. You
can contact the Help Desk by calling 7-8249 or filling out the Web form
at: www.ahpcc.unm.edu.
