Summary Of IBM Equipment Requested

Equipment will be delivered over the year in three phases.

1.
The initial phase consists of the Netfinity cluster with the Ascend SP Switch Router to provide connectivity within AHPCC.

2.
The next phase attaches an SP switch to the Ascend router, along with a SGE and 8 Winterhawk-II nodes, with GPFS storage, all controlled by a control workstation.
3.
The final phase attaches the Netfinity nodes directly to the SP switch ith Power3 SMP nodes.
