HELP DESK OVERVIEW

HPC@UNM offers a help desk for resolving issues in high performance computing. Service is available 8 AM - 5 PM Mountain Time Monday-Friday. The help desk covers a range of problems including debugging, logins and passwords, hardware maintenance, numerical libraries, software packages, and configurations for special requests.

How to Request Help:
There are two equally fast ways to request help:
  1. Visit http://www.hpc.unm.edu/help/
  2. Send email to help@hpc.unm.edu

Help requests should always include your name and email address, machine, brief overview of the problem, results from replicating the problem, and preferably a copy of the text from the results.

Expected Replies:
The requestor should expect a reply within 8 working hours. Often, the fastest resolutions of problems happen when the responder and requestor work together as a team to resolve issues.
