CARC attends UNM’s Student Job Fair, a recruiting event which provides UNM departments and off-campus work study organizations the opportunity to recruit the many talented students at UNM. This year from 9:00am to 1:30pm, the CARC table is situated just east of the UNM duck pond. CARC staff and students will meet candidates from a wide variety of departments across campus and hope to find students interested in computational research at the university.

CARC currently has two open student technical positions. One, an applications position, will allow the successful student to assist the Systems group by compiling, building, testing, and benchmarking parallel science and engineering applications on CARC supercomputers. The other, a systems position, will involve installing, evaluating, and diagnosing hardware and software. Both positions provide the opportunity to work side-by-side with senior staff to resolve help tickets submitted by CARC users. The successful student will gain experience working on diverse, state-of-the-art hardware and operating system platforms.
CARC is looking for motivated, enthusiastic, technically ambitious applicants. To learn more or find out how to submit an application, please check out the position summaries for both the Applications and Systems openings.
